Dark Night of the Navajo is the last story in the trilogy featuring clairvoyant Cate O’Connor and her paranormal investigator husband, Mitch Stafford.
Cate witnesses a murder in a sweat lodge and can identify the killer. When she is kidnapped by the killer, Danny Abayo, there is a harrowing ride across the desert of the Navajo Nation to Canyon de Chelly where a massacre happened in 1805. Danny’s motive for kidnapping Cate is mysterious since he doesn’t plan to kill her. Her bond with the killer intensifies as they trade stories of their lives. Stalked by the dead man’s brothers, the two are attacked before reaching the cave. The killer is wounded in a shootout and Cate kills the remaining brother to defend her life.
The experience of being with Danny Abayo has changed Cate’s life in ways that she couldn’t foresee, but Cate’s life is now changed forever.
